Riders on the range... Imagine this one!
I need a metal worker, a still life photo meister and a couple of flexible people...
This Idea is for a combo performance art/photo piece.
We'd get some of those yogi chairs made up. The ones that stick in the ground and make it look like the person sitting is holding themselves up by one arm.
We'd then dress up the flexible people in Australian dusters sun glasses and cowboy hats and sit them in the yogi chairs (lotus style) positioned in a geometric pattern...In hi foot traffic places. (Our 'Riders)
The piece would be about reactions to and interactions with people who are "floating" and seeing how long it takes people to adjust to what they are seeing. Photographing all along the way!
Alt takes...
1. Have 'Riders' hold signs protesting law of gravity. (We could get a permit and legitimately protest anywhere!)
-or-
2. Have live action piece where 'cop' cites people for gravity violation.
or
3. Pass out fliers demanding retraction of Newtonian laws as un just and unfair!
