The ebay design try didn't work out . . . I'll probably try to sell some paintings eventually. I like chalk drawing too--that was my favorite part of art class several years ago.
Lately I've been concentrating on jobhunting (something in copyediting and/or proofing and/or graphics), and I've also been doing volunteer work connected with alternative energy. I've also gotten some freelance work and should be again next week.
I'd still like to sell designs, paintings, etc. I just need to find some…

I'm gonna try to sell some of my original art over ebay. Anybody got any advice?
The works I'll try to sell first are ink-on-Bristol board designs . . . some done in design class at TCC and some done later.

I'm back in the loop after an absence of several months. I was and still am busy with other things but I'm making time for this as well as the other things which includes blogging on other sites about other things. I've been keeping up some with writing and have started painting again . . . weather permitting, lol . . . The only good place to paint is the back porch and when it's too cold . . . I did get some sketching done yesterday and so the new canvas is prepped . . . but there are a couple…

There is a new art fair in Irving. It's called the Irving Main Street Event. The booth fee has been reduced to $25 and the show isn't juried. Please give the link below to any artists/crafters/vendors (no musicians...all musician spots are filled) you know who might be interested. It's only a 5 hour show on September 27th, so it's not a huge commitment. They still have lots of openings, so lets fill 'er up! And tell them that Shelly referred you :)…

I would kill for a pair of surround sound head phones. It would be so cool to have a song where dispersant elements swirl around my listener. Moving in a 3 dimensional space. Where an angelic voice could playfully jump around an imaginary dais or where heavy metal power chords could come running from all sides and meet up in an explosive crescendo top dead center of someones' brain.
...It'll happen but for now I guess I'll be happy using what I've got. It's more than I had when I started.

You know when you're in between projects and you walk into your space with a blank slate. You look at all your tools and all your equipment and your clean workroom and go Hmm. Just standing there enjoying the moment with thousands of half formed thoughts swirling in your head. Waiting for one thought to assemble itself into the idea that will take you on your next journey into a new place. That's where I'm at now.
I think it's more formerly know as writers block.

Some times you just stick your foot in your mouth and don't stop until you taste underwear.
I met a myspace person and exchanged an email where I was giving what I though was good advice. About recording. Only it turns out that this person was a practicing minimalist. It was the audio equivalent of telling Picasso that he'd be pretty good if he got some lessons!
So apologies made and humble pie eaten...
I want to try putting away my mixers and e.q.s and everything else but just a mic and see…

I need a metal worker, a still life photo meister and a couple of flexible people...
This Idea is for a combo performance art/photo piece.
We'd get some of those yogi chairs made up. The ones that stick in the ground and make it look like the person sitting is holding themselves up by one arm.
We'd then dress up the flexible people in Australian dusters sun glasses and cowboy hats and sit them in the yogi chairs (lotus style) positioned in a geometric pattern...In hi foot traffic places. (Our…
